“Life is a funny thing. The minute you think you’ve got everything figured out, something comes along and turns it all upside down.”
Her best friend landed a huge role at the best hospital in town, a few states over. The opportunity was huge! Life changing! Eye Opening! to say the least. Although the change was frightening, it was necessary. Whether she knew it or not, it was just what she needed.
Her start date was a few weeks away. Of course a surprise party was planned. As her close friends and family gathered to celebrate HER, they stood in a circle and spoke encouraging words to guide her through this journey. They reminisced about everything that has happened in her life to bring her to this moment, and joined in prayer as a reminder that although she will be embarking on this new journey alone, God is always with her. Every memory, encouraging word, and message that was shared was inspirational to not only her, but to all! But one message stood out and had the power to bring tears of joy into the room. The message was this: You are enough. And that was all that needed to be said.
“You are enough”… These words haunt me every day. Not in a bad way, but an uplifting one. When I’m at work feeling down, dealing with my relationship, or even feeling like I’m not being a great friend, I tell myself, “You are enough “.
There will be times when you experience these same feelings. We all go through it. Our superpower as women is that no one is us. We are all unique for many different reasons. Still, everything that we have to offer is enough. No need to change yourself because you are feeling less than. Make self-improvements if need be, but, do it for yourself, no one else! Not even the gram.
Take chances! Apply for that new job. Travel. Travel alone. Move out of state. Date that person. Buy that dress. Live your life. You are enough!
Trust the timing of your life! Have the confidence to walk into any room and slay. Make people want to know who you are and what you have to offer. Walk with radiance and shine with every move you make. You are enough!
And, if at any time you begin to feel down and out, just remember… You are enough!
