Looking Back & Pressing Forward

2017 has been one hell of a year. And it went by so fast it’s hard to believe in just a few days this year will be behind us.

As I reflect on this past year I have to admit that 2017 has been an extremely difficult year for me (health wise) and I’ve cried more this year than I have in my entire life. But God blessed me with some awesome experiences, dope people and sweet memories to ease the pain on the not so good days.

If you could think of 3 things this year has taught you…what would it be?

As for me, I learned:

1. I am stronger than I thought: I can remember when I guy breaking my heart and me having to nurse myself back to emotional health seemed to be my biggest challenge or finishing Grad school or having a baby but NOPE! Fighting Breast Cancer definitely takes the cake. And I take it one day, one appointment & one Chemo treatment at a time.

2. I really can do anything I put my mind to: I wanted to start a t-shirt line…and a few months later the King Mom Tee was born.

I have always, always wanted to blog and here I am…blogging. God is so good and He really rewards faith accompanied with works.

3. Life without family & friends is no life at all: My family & friends remind me that I’m not alone in this chapter of my life. And though I am a loner at times this is a time in my life that I don’t want to be.

I hope you were able to think of some moments & experiences in 2017 that made the year worth your while;I know I have. May God bless you with health, peace & love in 2018.
